Amy McCae before a wellness and leadership conference where she spoke on holistic wellness and empathetic leadership

The story behind the work

From the time I was three years old, I knew I wanted to be a doctor. Sadly, when I was twenty, my mom passed away from cancer, and my life took an entirely new direction. Throughout my twenties, I battled multiple chronic illnesses. I went to the bathroom thirty to forty times a day and saw nine different urologists—none of whom could help. I was miserable, lonely, and suicidal.

One day, I was too sick to care for my newborn baby, and I had to crawl to the phone to call for help. That moment became the turning point of my life. I began searching for healing in places I had never explored before, and I found it through fitness, nutrition, and meditation.

Through that experience, I rediscovered my passion for healing and wellness. Today, I hold over twenty certifications in mind-body healing, personal development, and professional leadership. My journey continues as I deepen my understanding of holistic wellness and human potential, empowering others—especially leaders—to do the same.

I built Creative Wellness — now Amy McCae Advisory — because I saw the same patterns in organizations that I had lived personally. Leaders pushing through long past the point of sustainability. Teams running on empty while trying to build something meaningful. Cultures where performance was prioritized at the direct expense of the people creating it.

I knew there was a better way. And I knew exactly what it felt like to find it.

What I believe about wellbeing and leadership

My work sits at the intersection of science and something deeper.

I bring neuroscience-informed frameworks, emotional intelligence training, and strategic consulting to every engagement. I also bring a profound belief in the mind-body connection — the understanding that sustainable performance is never just a strategy problem. It is a human one.

I have seen what happens when that dimension is ignored. Leaders make reactive decisions under chronic stress. Teams lose the psychological bandwidth to do their most creative, careful work. Organizations build cultures that quietly consume the very people sustaining them.

And I have seen what becomes possible when it is honored. Leaders who are regulated, clear, and genuinely well make better decisions. Teams that feel genuinely supported perform with less friction and more resilience. Cultures built on real wellbeing — not performative wellness — become places people want to stay and do their best work.

That is what I help organizations build.

"Amy taught me the value of mindfulness and how it can be incorporated as part of a daily routine. Working with her has allowed me to become a leader who has tremendous awareness and empathy for others."

Experience, Credentials, and Training

Over the past 15+ years, I have built one of the most eclectic and intentionally comprehensive certification portfolios in this field — because I believe that truly understanding human performance requires more than one lens.

My training spans neuroscience-informed leadership, emotional intelligence, mindfulness, mind-body healing, coaching, and intuition development. I am a lifelong learner, and I bring that breadth directly into my consulting work.

I hold more than 20 certifications spanning neuroscience-informed leadership, emotional intelligence, mindfulness, coaching, and mind-body healing — including a Certified Life Coach credential, two Certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher certifications, Welcoa Worksite Wellness Certification, and completion of Google's Search Inside Yourself program on psychological safety.

Hi!!

Welcome! I am Amy McCae and am thrilled to see you here.

My Clifton Strengths are: empathy, responsibility, intellection, input, and strategic. This means I excel at strategic thinking. I absolutely love finding solutions that get to the root cause of problems. I absorb and analyze information to make better decisions. “People with strength in this domain continually stretch our thinking for the future.”

I firmly believe that “Intellectuals solve problems and geniuses prevent them.” Albert Einstein. To do that, you need insight as well.

With empathy being my number one strength, my level of emotional intelligence is high. This makes for an interesting perspective alongside strategic thinking.

Empathy allows me to be exceptional at reading a room and knowing more than what is said. I have a deep understanding of people and their needs. I can hear unspoken questions, anticipate needs, and find the right words to help others articulate their feelings. My instinct to connect and empathize helps people give voice to their emotions and better understand themselves.

The mind-body connection and how it relates to healing, consciousness, and human potential are always at the heart of everything I do.

I look forward to connecting and partnering with you!
